Michael Interviewed...

reel

Jeffrey Townsend
Hollywood Expatriot
April 1, 2000

He had it all. A brilliant career in Hollywood, credits on major films including "Sleepless in Seattle" and "The Fabulous Baker Boys." But, he went to Walla Walla, got a side of fried chicken with his Italian dinner, and never went back to Hollywood. Walla Walla reeks of latent hipness, and beats Hollywood any day.

Listen inListen in for the most-recognized 3-seconds of music Jeffrey has ever composed.

Skull

Jim Chatters and the Kennewick Man
Forensic Anthropologist and fossilized fellow
April 1, 2000

He's 9,500 years old and looks remarkably like Michael Feldman, or is it Patrick Stewart? It all stared when a couple of guys slogging through a creek bed found a skull and some bones. Since then it's just been controversy. Who is this guy? Who does he belong to? Should he be studied? Or, just re-buried?

Listen inListen in for some anthropology of early Walla Walla residents and find out why they've got the poor guy locked up in Seattle (the Kennewick Man, that is).

bottle

Lonnie Ness
Wine Enthusiast
April 1, 2000

Southern Washington has the perfect climate, soil, and grapes to produce some mighty fine wines. Just wait about 3 years and you'll have a vintage that will rival any French attempt. Twenty-three wineries crush locally, and Michael is poised to taste them all. From the L'ecole Forty- One whites to the Woodward Valley Chardonnay, Michael and Lonnie take on the race of palate and brain (your palate gets better the more you drink while your brain gets fuzzier).

Listen inListen in as Michael gets distracted with the Shiraz, forcing Jim to end the show solo.
